While in Atlanta me and my sister Kelly took a break from the Saints Vs Vikings game our guys were watching to wonder thru Barnes & Nobles. I found a Business Planner put together by Craft, Inc for crafters starting small online and trade fair businesses. Since as you know one of my 2010 goals is to open an Etsy shop to sell my vintage finds, arts, and crafts this planner is perfect. I've already started filling out the worksheets with my goals and todo lists.

We've joined a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)membership! So every week we will be getting a share of locally grown organic vegetables. If you'd like to join a CSA in your area you can start by going to LocalHarvest and selecting CSA and your zip code. Our first share is next Saturday. I'll let yall know how it goes!

While I was in Bama I used my mother's glorious sewing machine to make new curtains for the little window above my kitchen sink. The fabric totally brings together my yellow and green Le Creuset pots, my vintage aqua glass mason jars, my vintage aqua apple server (a find of my grannys) and all my succulents. They dance about in merriment at the addition of my curtains sewn by me and my dear friend Mindy. We took turns at the machine for a while and she stayed late into the night to talk me thru till the completion. I plan on getting more fabric to add a valance at the top and maybe some golden rod yellow tiebacks. Hmm more projects.

I'm back from my Alabama/Georgia tour, my first visit back to see my friends and family since I've moved to Texas upon getting married in October. Me and T definately learned the hard way you can't do it all. Next time we agreed Alabama or Georgia, not both. We loaded T's truck with what HE thinks is the remaining of my stuff. There's still more, lot's more. Yeesh. I now have even more boxes to unload, giving even more need to those organizational goals I came up with the first week of Jan. Tomorrow I'll post some pics of what I did with some of the contents of those boxes...

As announced me and T are going on a diet/workout plan. Yesterday we joined a gym and had our first gym workout as a married couple. It was quite eventful. We both started on cardio. Picture it...I'm on a treadmill minding my own business, looking at the pages of a magazine wishing I was crazy toned like Jessica Beil, when all of a sudden WHAM! My whole machine shakes with a thud. A pleasantly plump(I don't know a nicer way to say that)woman had fallen off her Exercise bike straight into my machine and rolled onto the floor in an immobile hump. I blinked a few "wow did that just happen?" moments while people quickly gathered around her. She was shaken up but ok. What a way to start... ;)

Today I was searching the web for ideas on our diet/exercise plan of attack for next week and I came upon the benefits of green tea. Not only does it offer up more antioxidants than a glass of red wine, it is calorie free and helps with weight loss. So today I brewed up a batch of iced blueberry green tea for experimental purposes. Refreshing and tastes great. So only water and green tea for a while. Absolutely no sodas! You should definitely try it.
Boil 2 quarts water, add 10 tea bags green tea(w other flavors if you want)and let it continue to boil for 2 min than remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes. Add 1/2 cup sugar (or substitute) and 1 teaspoon ground ginger to pitcher. Add in tea and stir. Enjoy!

I watched Amelie again this morning. I figured whimsical, quirky foreign films should probably be watched while T's out of town. He watchs my indie flicks with me but makin him read subtitles is kinda pushing it.
When T isn't here I find myself focusing on random little projects. Under the sink should look cute too ya know(I need to get on that at some point). This afternoon I opened my utensil drawer with unsatisfaction and knew there had to be something I could do. Some awesome paper and organizing/purging later and it's Penney approved!
See the Meyers Spray bottle? It's a Lemon Verbana scented organic freshener. It smells fresh without smelling fake and overpowering. I also use their dish soap and counter spray. I know you can find it in Target and Whole Foods.

My honey left early this morning for a 5 day work trip. The longest we've been apart since we've been married is 1 night. It's weird thinking about my upcoming week without him. Maybe Not Lost (who am I kiddin I'm guaranteed to get lost), But Definately Weird! I think I'll go call him...

Me and T are planning on the great diet of 2010, although the official start mark is Fri Jan 15th. We have plans to join the local gym that morning. But until then, I say Let Them Eat Cake, Cupcakes that is. I made Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes with Cream Cheese frosting. The Cupcake recipe is extra yummy because of the raisans. And this recipe for the icing was great on it's own but I added some packed pumpkin to it to up the mmmm factor. I finished that off with some cinnamon sugar and cute homemade flags (Leftover from our wedding).
T was plannin on havein some friends over to watch the Cowboys Vs Eagles game tonight so I had to make SOMETHING. ;) To make me feel a little better about the baking I packed some up for my in-laws. It made me very happy to finally get to use my vintage cake carrier I got from Ebay (for 99 cents!). Isn't it cute?
Today I awoke to find ice on our front door. It's crazy cold outside, again. So my lovely lambie slippers (bought on our OKlahoma trip a few months ago)are on along with my tassled black shawl(gift from T's mom)and I'm takin the extra time to surf the patchwork of great blogs out there while T's catching up on last seasons Lost episodes.
