Alright folks, It's that time again. Swimsuit Season. The time to reveal my palest of areas to the world. A time to regret all the comfort food and hot chocolates I had over the winter. Why oh why did I not stay diligent? Ok, enough of the whining. Time to start anew. I know I can do it! Starting today Monday the 18th of April I'm setting a goal to lose 3 lbs. in 2 weeks.
How I plan to do it:
- Actually GO to my gym. What a novel idea!
- Water, water, water. Beat husband if he brings a soda in house!
- Fill fridge and pantry with healthy food only.
- Walk my dog every day.
- Weigh myself on the Wii EVERY morning.
Also If you have any suggestions or links to healthy recipes, please share.

This is one thing about my youth that I do not miss...I just do not care about swim suits any longer. When I am at the lake...a great pair of shorts and or a fun sun dress will do it...nothing has motivated me to want a suit for a couple of years.... You seem to have a great game plan...stick with it...you can do it!!!
Thanks Pam!
Good luck! Might I recommend the Gwenyth Paltrow Detox? I did it for 4 days and lost 5 lbs... and have continued to lose lbs after, just from shrinking my stomach!
I seem to gain and lose 2-3 lbs constantly. I can't get past 5 lbs!!! I want to lose 10 lbs and maintain that, but I've been working on that for years. (or playing w/that)

My aunt told me the best advice, ever. "If anyone doesn't like how I look, well..they don't have to look at me!" ha. I'm in the same boat, "why did I eat that?" but, I don't care to lose weight, as long as I can be actively healthy, I'm happy.
GO PENNEY! Keep up the motivation and ambition!
Jess- Isn't that diet all liquid? I don't think I can do that.
Maggie- You can do it. Set smaller goals and keep making them back to back so the 10 lbs doesn't look so hard.
Rachel-I am healthy but I want, for myself, to be smaller. I gain weight in my tummy and that's the most unhealthy spot. And I need to nip it before it becomes a problem.
Crazy. We are on the same wavelength. I started eating healthier as of Mon the 18th. I don't tell others this much, but I lost about 55lbs a few years back. I always weigh myself to keep my weight in check. I don't want to lose any more weight. I just don't want to gain any. I haven't really gained any over the last year. I just have lost muscle tone. I plan on starting the ab portion of P90X soon. I'm ready to start working out again. Good luck to you!
D'Andra congrats on that. It takes dedication and will power. I lose and sometimes I backslide, which can be frustrating because I can only blame myself. I want to lose 10. And I know I can. My friend is doing P90x for her wedding and she is in the best shape!
I just recently learned that you have a blog and have been enjoying checking it every day to see what is new. I just read your goal and wanted to share what I have found to work in trying to lose weight. I am now using the Livestrong app which counts my calories and keeps track of how many calories I burn. So far I have lost 30 pounds, 20 of those pounds I lost in the last two months using the Livestrong app. Your goal is great and should be easily attainable. I wish that was all I need to lose! I have found walking and drinking lots of water have helped. I would suggest maybe weighing once a week rather than every day, especially if you are going to the gym. Your weight might fluctuate and disappoint you. Going to the gym might also cause weight gain in the short term (muscle weighs more than fat), but it is great for the long term (the more muscle you have the more fat you burn). Another major thing is to watch your sodium intake, too much can easily cause you to retain extra pounds in water weight. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Adriane, I'll be uploading that app and giving it a try. I DO need to watch the sodium. I'm trying my best to step away from the salt shaker. It's very hard
